SmokyQuartzJewelry.com is the product of a life-long love affair with gemstones and jewelry!

As a hobby, my father collected rocks and mineral specimans. At a very young age, I was already learning their names - I was probably the only pre-schooler for miles around who could tell you what a "geode" was!

Some of my fondest childhood memories were when my dad decided to tumble some of his finds - putting the raw stones into a machine with a rotating cylindar. This tumbling machine would run for hours and hours and then came the best part - opening the chamber and seeing the metamorphasis of these formerly unremarkable rocks into things of great beauty! One of my favorites? Smoky Quartz, of course!
